Defensive Driving is driving in the manner that utilizes safe driving strategies to enable motorists to address identified hazards in a predictable manner. These strategies go well beyond instruction on basic laws and procedures. With defensive driving classes, students learn to improve their driving risks by anticipating situations and making safe well-informed decisions. After completing the class, the student will receive a 4-point reduction. There may or may not be an insurance reduction. This varies depending on the insurance company and the student needs to contact their insurance provider. This course can only be taken once every three years.
